Images of the forthcoming Penguin Drop Cap series. Each of the eventual 26 hardcover books in the series will feature a type cover with an illustrated drop cap by Jessica Hische, the San Francisco–based designer and illustrator well-known for her Daily Drop Cap blog, where she has been posting illustrative initial caps since 2009. According to a press release, each book will also have “a foil-stamped paper-over-board case and a decorative color stain on all three edges.”
